Chaos!!!!
A mix of Moving Iron prepares the track after each Pull.  After the rains the great design of the track was obvious.  Note the piles of 'slush' on either side of the track.  Congratulation to Cliff Christensen, the Ahlphs and so many others for such an award winning track.

Thanks Jim Ahlphs

Note:  the haze in an otherwise clear evening......We love it....that's one of reasons it's Smokin Iron.....the wonderful smell of burnt fuel drifting over the crowd as the north breeze brings the last race to our nostrils.

Weighing in
Troy Christensen and .....volunteered to weigh in the Pullers. Son of Cliff (Who is one of the founding fathers of the Smokin Iron), Second Generation Volunteer. Note on the left picture..the weights that have to be removed....Over weight Pullers.

Bill Schafer, Ottertail City volunteer.  Works all day like so many of our volunteers and then spends the evening helping put on a hospitable and efficient show.
