The Environment

Welcome to Ottertail City.  The stage is set.  The volunteers, after months of preparation are in action mode.  Photo on top looking south  towards the pit area and to the left....your bleaches ready to be filled.

".......and now the moments of truth.  This picture was taken at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, June 14.  Cliff Christensen was checking the track, scrapped away an inch and half of soil and held up a dry dirt ball.  So now we wait.  5:05 and its raining.   Now go to the pictures of Friday and Saturday.

      Cliff holding dirt....that forms the basis of this wonderful track.

Doug Christen's family has been pullin' in '69 and helps with the NTRA web page. www.upmpullers.com    With friend Rich Moore they comment on the great local hospitality.  They do all the regionals and his dad Dennis is the drive. 

Eric Roggenkamp is from Bluffton, Minnesota and is one of announcers for Ottertail's Smokin;' Iron..He has been in business for 27 years  www.Eric'sMachinerysales.com

Larry Richrine, pictured above is the Director of Technical Safety for this Smokin Iron.  He has 148 agents with him around the country.  "We love this track, the area and people."

This group is from Janesville, Wisc. and name of Minirod is Hell Raiser 2.  This is the first show that they have done this year.

They will win the show they say.  So far the treatment here in Ottertail city has been excellant but stop the rain.
